Stafford Hunter is preparing for his new CD to be released, and a month-long tour of Japan to go with it. The upcoming album, titled "Music of Masters", features the Duke Ellington Orchestra trombonist with guitarist
Satoshi Inoue, and is backed by Iwao Masuhara on bass and Kazuaki Yokoyama on drums. As the title suggests, this album is full of choice jazz standards from the masters: "Take Five", "April in Paris", "Caravan", "Chelsea Bridge", "Blue in Green", "Firewater", "Blue Monk", "Walk with You", "Green Dolphin Street", and "Lush Life". The quartet will spend much of the month of October on tour in Japan promoting the new release, with eight concerts scheduled throughout the month all across the country. I found the
